Millie Bobby Brown knew her fiancé Jake Bongiovi was "the one" shortly after they met in 2021.
The TradeEdge Exchange"Stranger Things" star, 19, opened up about their relationship in an interview with The Sunday Times published Sunday, revealing the pair met on Instagram. "I was interested in him and wanted to know more. As soon as we spoke I knew he was going to be a huge part of my life," she recalled. "After we met we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side."
Brown added that it didn't take long for her to realize the 21-year-old son of singer Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley was the man with whom she wanted to spend forever. "You can't pinpoint why, it's just the feeling of knowing that that's the person you want to spend the rest of your time with. I think so much of life is overthinking. The one thing that made clear sense to me was him," the actress said.
The "Enola Holmes" actress hinted at her engagement to Bongiovi in an affectionate Instagram post in April.
In the photo, Bongiovi wrapped his arms around Brown at the beach. The "Stranger Things" star wore a beautiful ring on her engagement finger as she cuddled into her boyfriend.
"I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all," she captioned the post, referencing lyrics from Taylor Swift's 2019 hit "Lover."
Bongiovi used Brown's mother's ring for the proposal, she told The Sunday Times. "I've always loved that ring, it's always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake. They were in cahoots about the whole proposal. I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me," she said.
"My parents adore him. (Jake and I) both come from parents that have stayed together for a really long time. My parents were young when they got together, so I always had amazing role models for relationships," the actress added. "His family are wonderful people who welcomed me with open arms. I’m really grateful to be a part of their world.”
Bon Jovi shared similar warm sentiments about Brown during an appearance on Andy Cohen's "Andy Cohen Live" show in May.

"Millie’s wonderful. Her whole family are great," Bon Jovi told Cohen. "Jake is very, very happy."
When asked if he worries about his son getting married in his early 20s, Bon Jovi told Cohen that it wasn't a concern of his.
"I don't know if age matters if you find the right partner and you grow together," Bon Jovi said. "That would be my advice: Growing together is wise. So, I think all my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all."
The "Stranger Things" star and Bongiovi went Instagram official in November 2021 after sparking romance rumors in June 2021 when they were spotted holding hands through New York City. The couple later made their red carpet debut at the 2022 BAFTAs.
