Nearly a week before Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” hits movie theaters, fans of the "Merc with a Mouth" will have the chance to enter a global sweepstakes to win custom Xbox hardware, including a controller shaped like the anti-hero's "buns of steel."
Microsoft announced on Wednesday that Deadpool has teamed up with Xbox to design a custom Xbox wireless controller that "everyone will want to get their hands on."
"Modeled after Deadpool’s much-discussed, perfectly rounded tush, the Deadpool-designed controller is available for one lucky fan to enter for a chance to win via a global sweepstakes alongside other custom Xbox hardware," according to a Microsoft news release.
Dubbed the “Cheeky Controller,” the Xbox device was designed by Deadpool himself and features a "firm (yet surprisingly comfortable) grip" and "comes clad in the anti-hero's instantly recognizable... black tactical suit," Microsoft said.
How can Deadpool fans enter the sweepstakes?
Fans aged 18 or older from around the world can now enter the sweepstakes by following Xbox on X and reposting the official Xbox sweepstakes post.
The lucky gamer could also win two more custom Xbox wireless controllers and a custom Deadpool-inspired Xbox Series X complete with a stand featuring foam versions of Deadpool's "trusty katanas" named Bea and Arthur, according to Microsoft.
Other Deadpool and Xbox contests
Another contest created by Xbox and Deadpool will give the first 1,000 fans who purchase an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core from the Microsoft store on July 22 an exclusive Cable Guys Deadpool Controller Holder by EXG Pro to "enhance" their gaming setup, Microsoft said in the release.
The Deadpool-themed controller holders are only available in North America and Canada while supplies last, the Redmond, Washington-headquartered company added.
Fans will get another chance to win prizes on July 22 by tuning into Twitch Xbox for a live broadcast from the "Deadpool & Wolverine red carpet premiere," Microsoft said.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" is scheduled to be released on July 26.
