Britney Spears Calls Out Trainer For Saying She Needs Her “Younger Body Back”

Britney Spears is not here for the toxic body shaming.
The "Lucky" singer took to Instagram to call out a personal trainer for criticizing her body.
"I took the time 2 months ago to find a trainer," Britney wrote in part alongside a video of her dancing on Instagram April 10, "and the first thing she did to me was literally—and I'm not even lying—pinch the skin on my stomach and legs and told me I need to get my younger body back."
The 41-year-old revealed the emotional reaction she had to the encounter with the unnamed coach.
"Why the hell did she do that???" Britney recalled. "It made me cry. I obviously didn't hire her so I did it myself!!!"
But she isn't letting the negative experience stop her from hitting the gym. In fact, she has now become her own trainer.
"I work out for 45 min, 3x a week, that's it!!!" Britney said. "I hate working out for too long. I'm sharing this because I have worked hard to get in shape, yet I don't look like the pictures that the paps take!!!"
And although the Grammy winner didn't like the way she was portrayed by the paparazzi in recent shots when her "car broke down the other day," she explained that she has her own platform to show fans what she really looks like.
"I did want to share what my body looks like at the moment," Britney noted. "I worked my ass off and for some people like that trainer who might see those nasty pap pics and secretly smile. Yup, y'all got it. I have 4 hours of footage from me shooting this yesterday and bitch, I'm just getting started."
Britney's post comes two months after she shut down rumors that she was struggling with her mental health and an intervention was going to occur.
"It makes me sick to my stomach that it's even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died," Britney wrote on Instagram in February. "I mean at some point enough is enough!!!"
At the time, the "Toxic" artist even debated taking a step back from social media amid the rumors.
"I'm probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there's obviously a lot of people who don't wish me well!!!" she continued. "I'm honestly not surprised at all…Again doing the best I can!!!"
Britney concluded her message urging followers to remember that she's trying to live her life as best she can following the end of her 13-year conservatorship.
"Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year," explained the pop star, whose conservatorship ended in November 2021. "No folks, it's not 2007…it's 2023 and I'm making my first homemade lasagna at home!!! I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room!!!"
